About Seller Signal

Seller Signal is an independent daily intelligence briefing for professional Amazon sellers: the people managing $50K–$5M in annual revenue across 20-500 SKUs on 8-15% net margins. It exists to protect and grow seller businesses by surfacing only what changes outcomes: profitability, account health, compliance exposure, inventory decisions, advertising efficiency, and competitive position.

Why this exists

Amazon publishes policy changes across a dozen surfaces (Seller Central announcements, help-page edits, program emails), and the seller community amplifies all of it, accurate or not. Most sellers have no time to separate a genuine fee change from a misread screenshot. Seller Signal does that filtering every morning and reports what survives, with the math attached. If an item does not help a seller make a better decision today, it is cut.

Verification standards

Every factual claim in a briefing must trace to verifiable material, prioritizing primary sources published within the previous 24-48 hours:

Three rules are absolute: every meaningful claim carries a citation; anything unverifiable is labeled Unavailable rather than guessed at; and confirmed changes, forum reports, and unverified discussion are always visibly distinguished. The rumor tracker explains the classification system.

How items are prioritized

  1. Account suspension risks and policy violations
  2. Fee changes with immediate P&L impact
  3. Compliance deadlines with penalties
  4. Algorithm changes affecting organic and paid visibility
  5. Inventory penalties and storage issues
  6. New opportunities with limited windows
  7. Industry trends with a 3-6 month horizon

What we refuse to publish

Generic success stories without tactical data, broad predictions without specific seller actions, software announcements that change no workflow, restatements of long-standing policy, and tool price changes too small to matter. Numbers are always specific ("fee increased $0.08 per unit for standard size", never "fees went up"), and every deadline comes with the consequence of missing it.

Independence and money

Seller Signal is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc. The site is designed to be supported by clearly-marked advertising placements and disclosed affiliate links on tool-review pages; both are currently placeholders, and neither influences what gets covered. Affiliate relationships are disclosed at the top of any page that carries them, per FTC guidelines.

Corrections

Errors are corrected in place with a note, and material corrections are flagged in the next edition. Spotted one? Use the contact page; corrections get priority handling.
